From summer 2023 to last autumn there was a lot of cinema throughout Calabria. As many as eighteen festivals and eleven reviews in a great event called “Bella come il cinema 2023”, which brought together a sequence of appointments with film culture and its protagonists: screenings, meetings with directors, actors and operators in the sector, workshops, competitions and side events which crossed Calabria, from the Pollino to the Strait, among beautiful landscapes, cities and places of art. Historic locations and new spaces to promote an extraordinary Calabria and its new innovative narration also through cinema.
The festivals and reviews were supported by the Calabria Film Commission through the public notice for the “Support for the realisation of film and audiovisual festivals and reviews in Calabria – 2023”.
